A Trip to Griffith Observatory

As a lover of Science and anything related to space, my family and I decided to take a visit to Griffith Observatory. To say that I was excited was an obvious reason. I'm a sucker for things in relation to space and all that stuff so walking through those front doors made me all giddy and excited to look at what it has in store for us.

The two girls beside me are my sisters, in case you didn't know.
A little info on my outfit:
Top & shorts: Forever21
Shoes: Converse
Bag: H&M

The first thing you notice when you walk through the front doors is this fascinating artwork above you.
It has angels in it, the sky gods, and civilians appreciating nature. I thought this looked nice so I decided to take a little snap to remember this beautiful piece of art.

Besides this eye-catching ceiling, there's another thing that would really catch your attention once you see it and that my friend, is the pendulum which hangs right at the center of the dome.

I thought this looked cool with all the lights bright and the center dim.

Walking through the left side of the Observatory you'll see this galaxy board with information about stars. I absolutely found this pretty damn cool cause of the galaxy background. Who doesn't love a bit of galaxy?

Behind that galaxy board are glass shelves filled with old-fashioned gadgets used to capture photos of space and whatnot.
The semi-big black box on the right was the first camera to capture the photo of the moon (I may be wrong about the moon part, forgive me for that.) As for the gadget on the left, it wasn't quite explained but by the looks of it, it's a telescope of some sort.
Also, those Math equations behind that "telescope" is making me dizzy.

This is just a model of how the Observatory looks like and its surroundings. I thought it looked cute.

You couldn't quite read what's said on the sheet but this huge telescope was the largest of the world for decades. Compared to our modern tiny telescopes, look at the size of this! I bet you can see full details of space with this telescope.

Walking out to the balcony, you get to see the view of LA. Look pretty cool with all those hues of orange and yellow going on in the sky.

The world famous Hollywood sign can also be seen from the Observatory's balcony.

Going back to another dome we found another huge telescope. Correct me if I'm wrong but this telescope was apparently used to record videos of the moon. Crazy right?

Once you're out of the observatory, a nice view of the city awaits. To your right, you'll see the Hollywood sign. Although it may seem near with our eyes but once you take a photo, it looks like your a thousand miles away from it. Not kidding.

Me and my new friend Holly(wood).

That concludes my trip to Griffith Observatory. If you've read until this part, thank you so much I hope I didn't bore you out with all that Science stuff.

Thanks for reading!

Covergirl: Ready, Set, Gorgeous Concealer

I was looking for a new concealer to use since the one I use before is a foundation-concealer stick and I wanted to have something separated, if you know what I mean? I wanted that stick and another concealer so I can conceal up those red spots, zits and dark circles.
I stumbled upon Covergirl cosmetics and saw that Katy Perry's advertising the Ready, Set, Gorgeous line. The saleslady showed a swatch on my arm so I can look for the correct shade for my face. I finally found one in the shade 'Medium' (there were numbers on the box but I threw it away so now I don't remember the exact 'number' shade, my bad.) I only remember buying the Medium shade.

When I purchased it, I read a couple of reviews online and saw that some liked it and some didn't. They say that it doesn't settle in well or it doesn't blend well and cover up your dark circles properly – I agree that it doesn't cover dark circles properly but I love how it blends well and hey, at least it covers up even just a little bit of your dark circles. As for the redness, it doesn cover it up. But here's one little tip for those who say that it doesn't blend well: apply the concealer on the spots you wish to apply it on, leave it to settle in for a minute or so then blend it with a beauty blender or like what I use, my ring finger.

Here's how the product looks like:

As for the consistency, I like it since it's creamy and once it settles in the skin, it blends so well.

The applicator is a small spongy-like brush that glides on well on the skin.

I don't only use this concealer for my face but I use two more which is the Wet 'n Wild and my foundation-concealer stick. I use those two for extra coverage on my undereyes or spots and redness around the nose.

If your undereyes' dark circles are not that evident, I suggest you use this concealer since my undereye circls are not that dark so I use this concealer along with the two products to follow just so I can have that extra coverage under my eyes.

What about you, guys? What concealer do you like to put on your spots, dark circles and redness? Comment down below and reccommend other concealers if you want!

My Dogs

Looking back through old posts, I realized that I never made one of my dogs I don't think it's necessary to make one but hey, I love dogs so I've decided to make this post.
I have two Beagles (Copper & Ava).

Ever since I was a child I wanted to have a beagle or a great dane but having a Great Dane takes a LOT of responsibility and buying one costs more than my lunch money (obviously).

One day my dad and I were driving around our village and we passed by this house that had a banner up saying "BEAGLE PUPPIES FOR SALE" so I told my dad in a very excited way that we should probably check it out and ask how much one puppy is.
Days have passed and my dad and I walked up to our neighbor's house to check out the Beagle pups and this one certain puppy has caught my eye. He has a tiny scar on his head and had these huge eyes and cute little legs. I was in awe and was completely in love when I first saw this puppy. I practically begged my dad to buy this because it was one of my dream dogs and who wouldn't love to have their dream dog, right? So the next day we got him and my grandad decided to name him 'Copper' which was taken from the movie 'The Fox and The Hound' (I love that movie too). Until this day, Copper's still well and healthy and may I add, 'fat' and lazy. He is one of the laziest dogs I have ever had but he may know a trick or two cause I taught him how to. Copper still has his tiny scar on his head which makes him look like a living plush toy.

This was Copper when I first got him and carried him home. He was such a skinnt and tiny little boy back then. Photo was taken by my dad last August 2012.
Her's Copper now, he winks!

Of course if you can't get enough of Beagles, you have this urge to purchase another one to keep your other dog company.
My dad has this friend that owns a lot of dogs and the good news is that he was selling Beagles pups too! So my dad, along with my sisters drive to his house to pick up our new Beagle puppy which was named Ava. We didn't pick her name since she was already named by my dad's friend and we were ok with Ava so we stuck to that name. Ava has this cute 'baby girl' face that will make your heart melt. Oh and her head tilts are the cutest! Her eyes have this sweet shape and they have a wonderful shade of brown with a hint of grey to it.

Ava at 3 months, look at that cutie!
Sorry for the low quality. This is Ava recently. After 2 years, she has grown intona beautiful doggie

As of now, Copper and Ava are still completely healthy and Copper's still the couch potato he is and Ava is quite actually the opposite. Ava is the kind if dog you want to have if you're looking for a disciplined but VERY playful dog. Copper's the kind to chill with you or the kind of dog you can patiently teach tricks since he gets it at once unlike Ava who only knows how to sit haha.

Also, my dogs took some selfies on my phone:

Copper doesn't seem to know the act of how the 'selfie' works.

Looking at this photo I always have this thought in my head that Ava might say like "gotta get my good angle, yep that's it."

How about you guys? Do you have any dogs or pets? If you have a dog, comment down which breed is it and how his/her personality is, I would love to hear from other fellow dog moms/dads!

Thanks for reading!

A Little Catch Up

Hello everyone!

So as you can see by the title I'm here to sit down and tell you why I haven't posted in 6 months. Seems like a long time, doesn't it?
Anyway, the main reason why I haven't posted in that space of 6 months when I have experienced a lot of great and exciting things is that I can't find the time to just sit down, turn on my iPad and type away.

Well to start off, 2016 is going pretty well for me. Except the fire works at New Years, they kinda freak me out. Moving on, these past few months, I've baked a lot of stuff which I should probably post more about soon since it's summer and as usual, I have no idea what to do. (What a sad life)

If you recall my blog post 2 years ago, I said that I started this blog because I was 'looking for a new hobby' and basically I was bored. I mean having an 'online diary' would be cool since I can look at my old posts and say "oh I remember what happened this day!" Even tho I don't travel and post exciting new content everyday (but I hope I do someday) I can still manage to post some content to look back at my posts in the future.

I hope everyone has had a good year so far and if you think that you aren't having a great day, chin up cause everything will be alright. :)
