A Trip to Griffith Observatory

As a lover of Science and anything related to space, my family and I decided to take a visit to Griffith Observatory. To say that I was excited was an obvious reason. I'm a sucker for things in relation to space and all that stuff so walking through those front doors made me all giddy and excited to look at what it has in store for us.

The two girls beside me are my sisters, in case you didn't know.
A little info on my outfit:
Top & shorts: Forever21
Shoes: Converse
Bag: H&M

The first thing you notice when you walk through the front doors is this fascinating artwork above you.
It has angels in it, the sky gods, and civilians appreciating nature. I thought this looked nice so I decided to take a little snap to remember this beautiful piece of art.

Besides this eye-catching ceiling, there's another thing that would really catch your attention once you see it and that my friend, is the pendulum which hangs right at the center of the dome.

I thought this looked cool with all the lights bright and the center dim.

Walking through the left side of the Observatory you'll see this galaxy board with information about stars. I absolutely found this pretty damn cool cause of the galaxy background. Who doesn't love a bit of galaxy?

Behind that galaxy board are glass shelves filled with old-fashioned gadgets used to capture photos of space and whatnot.
The semi-big black box on the right was the first camera to capture the photo of the moon (I may be wrong about the moon part, forgive me for that.) As for the gadget on the left, it wasn't quite explained but by the looks of it, it's a telescope of some sort.
Also, those Math equations behind that "telescope" is making me dizzy.

This is just a model of how the Observatory looks like and its surroundings. I thought it looked cute.

You couldn't quite read what's said on the sheet but this huge telescope was the largest of the world for decades. Compared to our modern tiny telescopes, look at the size of this! I bet you can see full details of space with this telescope.

Walking out to the balcony, you get to see the view of LA. Look pretty cool with all those hues of orange and yellow going on in the sky.

The world famous Hollywood sign can also be seen from the Observatory's balcony.

Going back to another dome we found another huge telescope. Correct me if I'm wrong but this telescope was apparently used to record videos of the moon. Crazy right?

Once you're out of the observatory, a nice view of the city awaits. To your right, you'll see the Hollywood sign. Although it may seem near with our eyes but once you take a photo, it looks like your a thousand miles away from it. Not kidding.

Me and my new friend Holly(wood).

That concludes my trip to Griffith Observatory. If you've read until this part, thank you so much I hope I didn't bore you out with all that Science stuff.

Thanks for reading!

xo, Bianca
